Westonbirt Arboretum

'Westonbirt Arboretum has one of the largest collections of tree specimens in the world, over 18,000 trees set inbeautiful English countryside. Autumn is the most popular for its amazing colours, especially the magnificent
collection of Japanese Maples. In Winter they light up a lot of the trees at dusk (around 5pm), it's really
spectacular. In Spring there are a large selection of Magnolias in flower, as well as Bluebells and Anemones -
my favourite time. Summer is a great time for a slow, cool walk. It was created by Robert Holford, who began
the project in 1829. The Holford family passed it to The Forestry Commission who now manage Westonbirt Arboretum'
