Reputedly the oldest living thing in England, this Yew Tree is supposed to be over 3,000 years old. It was mature when
Stonehenge was in use! 1,000 years before Jesus Christ. Quite something to see a tree that old, I've seen them in The States
(they have even older trees there, the Bristlecombe Pine) but didn't know we had any that old. It was planted on a barrow (tomb)
so probably has someone important buried underneath. The poet William Wordsworth came to see it and wrote some prose. Looks
good enough for at least another thousand years
