The Raja Rammohun Roy Statue and Bristol Cathedral. He was born in Bengal in
1774 and was well known in India as a social reformer, writer and educational pioneer.
His statue was erected to mark the 50th anniversary of Indian Independence. He died
in Bristol, and has been called 'the Father of modern India'
