'Two great shapes - the Royal Crescent and the winter tree, a stunning sky,
then the shot was
made complete when two people walked across the shot. Even better, a man and
a woman.
The tricky part was firing the shutter at exactly the right time, so that their
legs were apart. This
gives the image more of a sense of movement. Legs together would have made a
much more
average picture, and I would have deleted it. Experience and practice paid dividends,
so that I
knew exactly what to do when this perfect scene presented itself. There was
no second chance!'
