Using a 17mm ultra-wide lens enabled me to capture the vastness of the sky in
this shot.
The lens is so wide it distorts the shape of the horizon slightly if pointed
downwards, or
upwards as in this case, but this is a worthwhile compromise when you can show
the
sky in all it's dramatic glory. This is a 'Pillbox' which has sunk into the
pebbles, it was
inhabited by soldiers defending the coast in the Second World War.
