view my night photographs in the evening, or under subdued lighting. All their
subtlety is lost if you see them in a well-lit room
The bright light of the full moon (January 14th 2006)
was enough to light the west side of the gorge
(on the right). The long exposure (necessary for the stars) makes the image
brighter than it
appeared at the time, but it was still easily light enough to walk around without
a torch
