Cheddar Gorge #4196
Somerset, England

I just love the Gorge in Spring, it's such a fresh green, and the tourists are mostly still at home
waiting for summer, so it's quiet, especially if you climb up the sides like I did to get this shot.

For Photographers: - How I took the image
On a tripod, I exposed once for the foreground, 1/60th second at
f11, then once at 500th second at f11 for the sky detail - a difference of 3 stops. I had to combine the two separate files manually, which took several hours to get to the kind of quality acceptable on a 40" wide print.
