This shot shows a polarising filter being used on full - not an effect that makes your
picture look natural, so I don't overuse it, but it seems to suit more abstract images well.
The contrast between the reeds and the dark sky was an element of the image I wanted
to emphasise.
Priddy Ponds were originally formed when the Romans started mining lead from the area. Due to the high content of lead in the soil there are some rare plants to be found. The Mendips are a beautiful range of hills
